Details:

The definitions under this heading can involve technology or not involve technology; the phenomenon is a subjective property of an individual person; and the source of the stimuli in the experience is external, i.e., impingements on the senses from the physical world outside the body and/ or internal, i.e., controlled or automatic mental processes generated inside the body (specifically the brain), that result in remembering a vivid experience, dreaming, daydreaming, etc.
